ABOUT
marumaru is a film production company which has been founded by Marwan Abdalla Eissa. He works as a producer and director in Zurich. After studying design at the Zurich University of the Arts, majoring in cast / audiovisual media, he worked as a writer, editor, compositor, motion designer and production manager in cultural and commissioned film. In 2017 he co-founded the creative collective "Team Tumult", where short and commissioned films are created with a focus on hand-drawn 2D animation. In addition to his work he is always committed to advancing Switzerland as an animation and film hub and is expanding his knowledge in production and interactive storytelling in a master's degree programme in Game Design. He is co-curator and co-organiser of the Fantoche "Industry Day".

marumaru ist eine Filmproduktion die von Marwan Abdalla Eissa gegründet wurde. Er arbeitet als Produzent und Regisseur in Zürich. Nach einem Designstudium an der Zürcher Hochschule für Künste in der Vertiefung Cast / audiovisuelle Medien arbeitete er als Autor, Cutter, Compositor, Motion Designer und Produktionsleiter im Kultur- und Auftragsfilm. 2017 hat er das Kreativ Kollektiv «Team Tumult» mitbegründet, wo Kurz- und Auftragsfilme mit einem Fokus auf handgezeichnete 2D Animation entstehen. Neben seiner Arbeit ist er stets engagiert den Animations- und Filmstandort Schweiz voranzubringen und erweitert sein Wissen in der Produktion und im interaktiven Storytelling in einem Masterstudium in Game Design. Er ist Co-Kurator und Co-Organisator des Fantoche «Industry Day».
